It was a family affair in the finals of the Northern Region AAA #6 Sunday at Century Snooker Club, with Hugh MacEachern squaring off against his son Brendan MacEachern, with the more experienced Hugh winning the match 3-0. Hugh fended off tough challenges from Michael Nicksy and Archie Best 3-2, and Bill Matheson 3-1 to reach the final. Brendan showed great heart and grit all day to reach his first CSNS snooker final , twice coming back from 0-2 down to defeat Mike Nugent and Larry Watkinson 3-2 to secure a place against the elder MacEachern. Hugh also claimed the tournament high run with a 39 clearance in frame 2 of the final.
