Snooker ranking number 4 is in the books. Saturday saw a field of 16 players biding for the top spot. CSNS welcomed 3 new players to the snooker side, Brady White, Keegan Reed and Garett Lane.

On the OPEN side semi final action saw Billy Martin booked his seat in the final by winning the deciding frame against Don Latter for a 4-3 victory. Brian White also won the deciding frame to be victorious 4-3 against Bruce Lilly. Although both players finished a grueling semi final it was Billy Martin who had enough energy left to win 5-3. Well done Bill!

On the AAA side we saw Mark Jordan glide to the final seat without loosing a frame. Tony Siddall was the grinder and won 2 deciding frames to meet Mark in the final. It was looking like Mark Jordan was going through without a loss with an early 2-0 lead. Tony the "Pictou Potter" then proceeded to open the can of special pots and win the next 3 frames to win the final 3-2.

Mark Jordan had his number drawn for the BLUE BALL CHALLENGE and managed to pot 5 of 10 balls for a payout of $180.00. Well done Mark but the Record 7 of 10 is still held by Bruce Lilly. Many thanks to Century Snooker Club and staff for hosting the event. A large shout out to Brendan MacEachern for running the Blue Ball Challenge fund raiser which will assist players going to the National Snooker Championships in the Spring.
