Predator CSNS Ranking 8 of the 2023-2024 season was held March 23rd at Century Snooker Club in New Glasgow. 37 Players entered the fray of the $1000 added 8-Ball event.
The field played down to the final 8 players, where there was a redraw to enter into the last single knockout stage. Ryan Kendall came into the final stage undefeated, and continued his run, defeating Janet Ritcey 5-2. herself having had a solid day of stellar play. This season's top rivalry had another installment, seeing Nok Mantolino get the edge on Kyle Richard 5-4, marking Mantolino's second match win on the day over Richard, having also been successful in an earlier matchup in stage 1 of the event. Wayne Rodgers earned his way into the final stage having not lost a match, however, it was there that he succumbed to the ever dangerous Brian White 5-0. In the other quarter final match, Magoo Dennis downed David Boone 5-2 to move on.
The semi-finals saw Kendall get by Mantolino 5-4, and White surpass Magoo 5-3, leaving Mantolino and Dennis sharing 3rd-4th place, and ushering Kendall and White into the Final. It was the second final appearance on the season for both Ryan Kendall and Brian White, but each was in search of his first top of podium result. White got out to a 4-1 lead. Kendall was able to swing the match back to 4-4. It was a White "out" from there, as Brian pulled away for the 7-4 win.
A second chance single knockout was held for the top 8 finishing players with 550 & Under Fargo rating, and another single knockout draw for top finishing players with 450 & Under Fargo rating. In the 550 & Under event, Michael Nicksy beat Gwisani Mavuma in the final. Leon Sylliboy took the third place match over Kris Dunbar. In the 450 & under event, Claude Quigley won over Nia Joe, and Jeremy Mullins took third place downing Jacob Marshall.
