Tournament Bracket:

Brian's CueSport Streams:

Doolys Port Hawkesbury played host to 48 players for CSNS Predator Tour 6. With 9-ball on the menu for this event, a double knockout bracket was played down to a 16-player single knockout redraw.

A few new names cracked the redraw and two in particular raced to meet each other in the semi-finals as Janet Ritcey turned aside Liam Colligan 7-4 to book her first ever finals appearance in an open ranking event. Meanwhile, Chris Penney was having a day as he cruised easily through the redraw, relegating Jeremy Basque to semi-finalist and setting up a rematch with Ritcey. Janet had previously won the most games off Chris on the day when a 7-5 result went Penney’s way to get into the redraw. Ritcey played with guts and determination throughout the day but was no match for Penney in the final. Chris was never in trouble during the final, easing out to a 5-0 lead and eventually closing out with a 7-1 scoreline.

Brisk sales for the 10-ball break contest pushed the pot to $685/ball. Leon Sylliboy had his ticket drawn and promptly made a ball on the break. His leave on the one ball was somewhat makeable but the missed shot would leave him with the $685 prize payout and leave most of the money still in the pot for the next one, which will also likely be close to $700/ball.

As with all our events, many thanks are due; to Predator for their continued sponsorship of our tour; to Melanie Perks and the staff at Dooly’s Port Hawkesbury for hosting our event; to Brian McNamara and Brian's Cuesport Streams for the live stream coverage throughout the day, which, while not live-live due to internet connectivity, was recorded and is available on his Youtube channel; and to the many hands of the tournament committee who kept the event running smoothly throughout the day.
