The final ranking event of the 2025-26 CSNS Predator tour was held at Dooly’s Burnside with 77 eager participants, many in the field to get their fourth event to qualify for the Predator Finale coming up on April 25th at Dooly’s Portland (a full list of qualified players will be posted this week).

The double knockout format was whittled down to a final 16 redraw and several notable upsets in the redraw first round included Deryck White ousting Dave Boone 6-2, Travis Warren squeezing by the winner of the last two ranking events Andrew Simon 6-5 and Eric Bonneau getting by perennial favourite Colin Maloney 6-4. Bonneau and White would each win their next matches and meet in the semi-finals with Bonneau whitewashing White 6-0. Meanwhile, Colin MacDonald booked his seat in the final with impressive wins over Brian White, Kyle Richard and Nok Mantolino.

The final would pit the seasoned veteran and multi-time provincial champion MacDonald against the up-and-comer Bonneau in a David versus Goliath match-up. A break and run by Eric in the first game would be his only claim to fame in this one however as Big Mac peeled off six straight wins to close out a 6-1 scoreline.

The final 10-ball break of the year was held with Nok Mantolino getting his ticket drawn and breaking for $170/ball. Nok made a ball on the break then cleared the 1-2-3 before posting on the 50-yard line for the 4-ball. A missed bank and a scratch halted the run at four balls made for a total payday of $670. A pot of just over $1000 will carry over to the first ranking event of next season in September.

Many thanks to Predator for their continued sponsorship of our tour; to Jessica Lee and the staff at Dooly’s Burnside for hosting our event on short notice; and to the many hands of the tournament committee who kept the event running smoothly throughout the day.
