The 21st GUNN SHOW held on July 12, 2025 at Dooly's Portland St location was another successful tournament with 51 players attending. We did have some new faces in the crowd, and for some it was their first event playing in, They did not end up in the money, but gave some of higher caliber players a run, but in the end they said they had fun and it was a positive experience, one which they will be back for. This is clearly why I do what I do, its for you all.

There were some hard fought battles on the tables, with some going to the "B" side early, only to battle their way back through the pack to meet the "A" side to make it into the money. Brian W., Mitch T., Travis W. were knocked to the B side earlier than anticipated, only to fight their way through to the money, and some of the players to the semi-finals.

The final 16 players clearly showed that practice does pay off with many of the matches going hill-hill, the semi finals had Chris P. defeating Colin M. with a 5-4 win (which was a nail biter), and Jody S. defeating Dale Y. with a 5-1 win. It is quite clear why these 16 ended up in the re-draw, their playing this day was just amazing and quite impressed with the new blood in my Event's as well, you all did great and this is why my Tournament continue to grow, while also competing for the beautiful 1st and 2nd place plaques designed for this great day.

The finals would see Jody S. and Chris P. meeting up for the final race to 7, but this was not to happen as Jody was under the weather and could not continue. The players and directors agreed on the players splitting the payouts, and a coin toss determined the 1st and 2nd place position, with Chris Penney will the toss. Health is more important than winning and two wonderful people/players made the right call that was fair, hoper to see Chris and Jody meet up in a future event.

The 2nd change tournament had 9 players register and did not disappoint, the races were change to four as we had lots of time, and table space. The event was started earlier than anticipated, and the time will go back to the 4-5 pm start to allow more players to participate in it. The nine players battled it out and the semi-finals had Calvin W./Gilda S. and Glen S./Harry O.  meeting up to compete. In the end Gilda and Harry were to meet up going for top prize, Harry O. took away Gilda's chance with a 4-2 victory, but you all played awesome 🙂

I would like to thank my 'partner in crime" Dale B. for continuing to be by my side and helping to grow the sport and the two of us making my events run so smooth. Thank you to Brian M. from Brian's Cuesport Streams for keeping those at home up to date and in the action, you are one of a kind and your dedication to the sport/charity work does not go unrecognized my friend, lucky to have you on the Gunn Show Team. To Jen R. and the staff of Dooly's Portland St., a heartfelt thank you for the amazing service and venue for an ever-growing sport. Finally, to all of the players/supporters of my event, you make all the work worth while to put these on, and to see you have fun at them

We did well on the fundraising this day with $170.00 going to Glen S. from the 50/50, and $175.00 being split between The Dooly's Portland St "Breakfast Program" and The Canadian Cancer Society. Well done everyone.
