Doolys Burnside in Dartmouth recently played host to 75 players as the Predator ranking tour 6 (9-Ball) rolled into town. The double knockout draw played down to a final 32 single elimination phase and there was no shortage of surprises along the way to the final. In the last 16, Milo Guevarra survived a tense hill-hill battle over Clayton "Magoo" Dennis, followed up with a 7-0 whitewash of Colin MacDonald, then drubbed Justin D'Eon 7-1 to book his place in the final. Meanwhile, Terry MacInnis dropped only two games in his last three matches to set up what shaped up to be an exciting duel between two players who have been knocking on the door of late and would now get their moment to show their chops. The match was close at 4-4 but the recent resurgance the pride of Port Hawkesbury came to fruition as MacInnis laid claim to the title in dominating fashion, closing out the match with a 9-4 scoreline.

Ticket sales for the 10-ball break contest were fast and furious and saw Eric Bonneau taking his shot at the $7000 grand prize. Having made a ball on the break, he failed to negotiate a rail-first attempt on the one ball but still took home $700 for his effort. The next 10-ball break will be at event 7 at Doolys Truro in the new year where expected sales will push the pot to well over $700/ball once again.

Ticket sales on the latest cue raffle package were completed on the day as well. A Predator 9K2 (red) cue and Revo shaft with a retail value over $1500 was won by Connie Reid. Congrats!

As a holiday thank you to the players, ten Tim Horton gift cards were drawn for. The lucky winners were Georgette Morris, Jheno Francisco, Christian Mantolino, Woody Luddington, Chris Bright, Lucas Naugle, Bernie Terrio, Vikki Trenholm, Eric Bonneau and Norm Best.
