Tony Welshman of Dooly's Portland 'B' team sailed undefeated through a field of 101 Metro Pool League players to claim 1st place at the 2020 installment of the annual 1-Point Tournament at Dooly's Rockingham. The win did not come easily, as Welshman had to fend off a spirited run up the B-Side by Martime 'A's Norm Best. Best, reaching the final for the 3rd time, having won the title himself almost 30 years ago in 1991, had lost an early round match, but managed to outlast the rest of the B-Side combatants, knocking off 9 opponents in succession. Dave Phelps of Maritime 'B' took 3rd place, followed by Welsman's teammate Ross Thibault in 4th place. Thank you to Melissa and the staff at Rockingham Dooly's.
