After another great day of snooker, we have a new Provincial AAA Champ.
Brendan MacEachern faced off against Shawn Fequet in the final. After going down 3 – 0, Brendan pulled it back to a 3 – 2 deficit before Shawn secured the next two frames to make it to the hill with a 5 – 2 lead. Not to be denied, Brendan dug deep to take the next three frames to make the score line 5 – 5, and force the decider. In a hard fought final frame, Brendan was able to maintain his momentum and emerge with the 6 – 5 victory and the title.
Brendan has had an outstanding season, now adding the 2023 Provincial AAA Snooker title to his resume to go with his 2023 Maritime Open AAA snooker title and his 2022 Maritime Closed AAA Snooker title. Well done.
