The 2024 edition of the Eastern Canadian 9-Ball Championships marked 31 years for the event. The host halls this year were Doolys Elmwood Dr and Doolys Mountain Rd in Moncton.

More than 170 players began play on Saturday in Round Robin play. Races were to 6, with each player in a bracket playing a set against every other player in the bracket. The 4 players in each bracket would move on to stage 2, 64 player double elimination bracket, with the final 16 players being redrawn into single knockout.

When the dust settled, this year’s winner was Dunn Dacanay of New Brunswick over Gilles LeBlanc, also of New Brunswick. The top Nova Scotian was Colin MacDonald, finishing 3rd.

Kelly Brimicombe of Nova Scotia took top honors in the Ladies Division, winning over France Menard of New Brunswick in the final. Kelly won this event the first two years the Women's Division was held, in 1997 and 1998, under her maiden name Kelly Ward.
