Tournament Chart:
After almost 32 months on the sidelines, Cue Sports Nova Scotia finally resumed ranking events, hosting the first 9-Ball tournament of the 2022-23 season at Century Snooker Club in New Glasgow. 31 players put their entry down, including several of the provinces top players.
Kyle Richard picked up right where he left off without missing a beat. Having reached the final in the last two CSNS ranking events before the hiatus, Kyle again found himself in another final, eclipsing Andrew Noel Simon 7-3 in the match to declare the last standing player from the B-Side. His undefeated opponent awaiting him from the A-Side was Bruce Lilly. The final match would be one race, won 9-5 by Kyle. Bruce Abadilla finished 4th, followed by Buddy Young and Christian Coffey in 5th-6th position, and Adam Cormier and Wayne Bishop in 7th-8th.
Bruce Lilly had his ticket drawn for the 10-Ball break and run contest for a chance at $64 per ball, however, a ball on the break eluded him, rolling the pot over for the next event. As a consolation Bruce got $23 (10% of the ticket sales for the day).
The next CSNS ranking event will be 8-ball at Doolys Portland on Oct 29.
