Dennis Repeats As 2019 CSNS Open 8-Ball Champion Over Thibodeau

Magoo Dennis successfully defended his CSNS Open 8-Ball Title rolling over Wayne H Thibodeau in the final 9-5. Dennis repeated his 2018 result, going undefeated in the 2019 edition in Sydney among 31 players. It was the third Open 8-Ball Championship win for Dennis in his career, having also capturing the title in 2014. For his part, the 2nd place result for Thibodeau closed out 2019 having arguably the most acclaimed calendar year of Championship results of any CSNS player over the past 12 months. In 2019, Thibodeau had 2 runner-up finishes in Open Championships, plus 2 Amateur Championship wins to his credit. Bill MacPherson, a staple among top finishers at Open Championships, placed 3rd. Michael Basque continued his strong play in the first half of this season, earning 4th place. Doug Brown and Richard Young placed 5th-6th, with Kyle Richard and Evan Paul finishing 7th-8th. Thanks to our sponsors Coldstream Clear Distillery and Dooly’s, and to those players that braved bad weather to travel to Sydney. Notably, lots of admiration to Wayne Thibodeau for his commitment to make the long drive to and from the opposite end of the province.
