Dooly's Burnside were the hosts for our first event of the 2025-26 season. Before the event started we conducted our CSNS Annual General Meeting. I am pleased to announce the new board as follows: Dale Brimicombe, Bruce Lilly(both are current directors), the re-elected directors of myself(Kyle Richard), Paul Gunn, Angela Kilbride, Michael Basque, Tracey Goodyear, Ryan Kendall and the first time directors of Kim Hobbs and Cal Boudreau.
We had an amazing turnout of 86 players which is also our new record high! This $1000 added event was double knock out 8 ball and we had a race to 5 on the A side and race to 4 on the B side. Once we reached the final 32 it shifted to a single elimination race to 4. When the dust settled and the smoke cleared the two remaining finalists were Bill MacPherson and Shawn Smith. Due to time constraints they flipped a coin and Shawn Smith was declared the winner. Mitch Tucker and Eric Bonneau were the other semi finalists.
Final results
1st-Shawn Smith $710
2nd-Bill MacPherson $585
3rd/4th-Mitch Tucker, Eric Bonneau $265 each
5th/8th-Kyle Richard, Jody Swim, Christian Mantolino, Wayne Thibodeau $180 each
9th/16th-Guy Tremblay, Shawn Fequet, Michael Basque, Jeremy Walsh, Milo Guevarra, Peter Giles, Jeff Saulnier and Brian White $135 each

Under 550
1st-$160 Travis Warren
2nd-$100 Clive Lowe
3rd-$65 Brendan MacEachern
Under 450
1st-$160 Ben Bond

The 10 Ball break contest was at $475 per ball. Bruce Lilly had his number drawn but was unable to get a ball to drop and settled for the consolation prize of $165. The next 10 Ball break contest will be over $500 per ball!
Great work to all of the top finishers and prize winners!
