The Gunn Show "Women's" Event 2 held on November 9-10 was another great one for the books, 27 amazing players came out to support this event and did not disappoint at all. For those who could not make it got to see all of the action on Brian's Cuesport Streams, and my own stream for Sunday for the final four. The two 50/50 draws went great thanks to all of the support from the players, we made $161.00 for the Dooly's Portland St. Breakfast Program & The Canadian Cancer Society.....the winners were Lindsay A. and Kelly B. :)

Not one player was willing to give up without a fight, and that was quite evident looking at some of the scores that came in to Dale and myself, one eighth of the matches went hill/hill, and you all just played amazing and enjoyed watching many of the matches, love to see so many strong players coming out. The 2nd Chance race to 3 had Sue G. coming out on top by defeating Mary Anne C., this was a great addition to the Event.

I wanted to acknowledge some who stood out during this event, Jen R. showed her stuff by going through the A side matches almost to the end, and the B side did not slow her down as she continued fighting before being knocked out by Kathy B., and ended with a respectable 5-6th finish. Kathy B. & Gillian L. were knocked over to the B side a bit early, but plowed through the B side to make it to the final four on Sunday morning, Gillian and Kathy met up Sunday to play the third and fourth place spot, and Kathy B. came out on top and Gillian took 4th place.

Liz Y. and Christa Y. were very strong though the entire event and just plowed through the A side, Christa Y. went up against Liz Y. on the A side semi-finals and so happy I streamed these matches, neither one would make it easy for the other and Liz Y. sent Christa back to the B side to meet up with Kathy to see who would come back to battle Liz in the finals. Kathy and Christa played very well, but it was Christa who came out on top to go up against the person who put her on the B side, Kathy B. finished with a strong 3rd place.

The final race to 7 was a nail-biter between Liz and Christa for sure, I was watching some of the comments on the stream and everyone was impressed, and expressed it....very impressive. After a very long battle Liz Y. came out on top, but Christa did not make it easy and both had a strong showing through the Tournament, well done.

Finally, the new home for Women's events at Dooly's Portland St. proved to be a success overall. Jen R. and her staff did an amazing job and appreciate you all for hosting my event. Thank you to Dale Brimicombe and Brian McNamara for the amazing work as always, the 3 of us are a force when it comes to making events run like clockwork and you both mean the world to me. To all of you amazing ladies who came out to support the event, thank you from the bottom of my heart, the only reason I do all these Tournaments is for you all to enjoy, and to grow the sport.

Well done everyone :)
