Nine players showed up Sunday to compete in the Northern Region AAA ranking snooker tournament at Century Snooker Club. Hugh MacEachern battled to a hard fought 4-3 victory over Peter Borden. MacEachern downed Jeff MacLaren 4-0 in the quarterfinals and Shawn Fequet 4-2 in the semifinals. Borden defeated Archie Best 4-2 in the outlier bracket, Bill Matheson 4-1 in the quarterfinals, and Les Duff 4-2 in the Semifinals. MacEachern also had the tournament high run of 41. The victory also meant MacEachern has captured all 4 Northern AAA Snooker events held so far this season.
