Northern Region Open Snooker Tour #4 saw 6 players compete for crucial ranking points. When the dust settled, it was Hugh MacEachern emerging victorious, besting Shawn Fequet 4-2. MacEachern narrowly made it out of the first round, topping Billy Martin 4-3 then defeating Richard Langille 4-0 in the semifinals. Fequet byed into the semis, defeating Archie Best 4-1. Best won a tough and close match, getting by Brendan MacEachern 4-2 to get to Fequet. Hugh MacEachern takes a stranglehold lead in the Northern Open Snooker points standings, increasing to 70 point ahead of Bill Martin after 5 of 8 events.
