This past junior pool tournament brought together a strong group of young players and delivered a full day of competitive matches, sportsmanship, and clear signs of improvement across the board. From the opening rounds, it was obvious that everyone had been putting in time on the table. Many of the matches went hill-hill, yet the event still moved along at a quick pace, a strong indicator that the juniors’ cue control, decision-making, and confidence are all steadily rising. The quality of play continues to grow with each tournament, and it showed in nearly every rack that was played.
Silas Battiste emerged as the undefeated champion, putting together a flawless run from start to finish. Silas worked his way through the winners’ bracket without dropping a single match, showing calm composure, precise shot-making, and smart positional play. He consistently controlled the tempo of his matches and capitalized on opportunities when they appeared. His steady focus throughout the day ultimately secured him the tournament title and an impressive undefeated finish.
On the other side of the bracket, Daniel delivered one of the most determined performances of the tournament. After losing his opening match, he fought his way through the B side with resilience and grit, earning win after win to make it all the way back to the finals. His ability to regroup after an early loss and continue improving each round demonstrated strong mental toughness and growing competitive maturity. In the championship match, Daniel battled hard and applied pressure throughout, but Silas closed it out with a 6–4 victory, sealing the win while remaining undefeated.
Finishing in 3rd place was Xtian Herney, who also put together an excellent showing. Xtian played with confidence and consistency throughout the day, earning his spot on the podium through solid fundamentals and smart shot selection. Several of his matches were tightly contested, and his ability to stay composed in close situations highlighted how much his game has progressed. His third-place finish was well-deserved and reflected the steady improvement seen across all the junior competitors.
Overall, the tournament showcased not only strong individual performances but the collective growth of the junior players as a whole. Close score lines, quicker match flow, and sharper execution across the field made it clear that the future of junior cue sports continues to move in a positive direction. Each event builds more experience, more confidence, and more excitement for what these young players will accomplish next.
